"But, I'm Not a Dancer"

August 27, 2019

Last week we had a lovely client book a private lesson so she could work one on one, on a routine she learned in class. In our communication beforehand she mentioned, "not being a dancer" and struggling with the choreography. This is a very typical concern from clients, and surely many women never come to class thinking this is why they can't join.

As we started to dance together and review the routine, she really started to shine! Everything she did held confidence and was uniquely her own. At the end of our lesson, I told her, YOU ARE A DANCER!

The point being, if you keep telling yourself you aren't, you can't, you shouldn't, you will be right. But if you give yourself a chance, you will surprise yourself.
