What to Expect at Your First Pole Dancing Class with Impulse Pole Dance
Welcome to your first pole dancing class! Here’s what you can expect:
Come as You Are
You don’t need to be in shape, coordinated, or have any prior dance or fitness experience. Just bring your willingness to give it a try!
Supportive Environment
Our instructors are dedicated to helping you feel comfortable and confident. We understand that everyone starts as a beginner, and we will support you every step of the way!
Patience is Key
As you embark on this journey, remember that patience is essential. Progress takes time, and we encourage you to enjoy each moment of learning.
What to Wear
Comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
Shorts are recommended to help grip the pole.
Heels are not required, Beginners can learn barefoot or in socks.
No lotions/oils on your skin within 4-6 hours beforehand.
Remove any hand/wrist jewelry that you can before class.
What to Bring
Your enthusiasm and an open mind.
Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Any personal items you may need for comfort.
Class Structure
Warm-up to prepare your body.
Introduction to basic pole techniques and movements.
Cool down and stretching at the end of class.
We can’t wait to see you in class and watch you shine on the pole!
All bodies, ages, genders & abilities are welcome. Our poles are permanent and have no weight limit. If you identify as a Man and are interested in classes, you must reach out to us as most of our classes are made up of Women and we want to ensure comfort and privacy.
